PRESENTATION EVENING 2010 The first event at The New Croft began with chairman Steve Brown thanking Gary Brown, Sandra McGerty, Dave Adams, Steven Esdale, Scott Sharman and Kerri Beavis, Danny Wakeling, Karen Smith, "Ted" Beavis, Mick and Fiona Tokley, John and Sandra Linnane, Dudley Haylock, Dave Gooch, Mark Ashford and Barry Whelan, Peter Betts and Tony Marshall, Ben Cowling and Michael White and Terry McGerty for their efforts during the season. Flowers were then presented to Sandra McGerty, Kerri Beavis, Fiona Tokley and Sandra Linnane before the Chairman's Award went to Adams and Clubperson of the Year to John Linnane. President Terry McGerty then stood and, after a short speech, presented Mick Tokley with the President's Award followed by supporters Bob Hunt and Tony Hammond, who handed over the Supporters' Player of the Year awards to Fisher (reserve team) and Matt Morrison (first team). Reserve team manager Ben Cowling stood and thanked White, Esdale, Kerri Beavis and Sharman, Gary Brown, Mick and Fiona Tokley and Steve Brown before handing the reserve team awards, Goal of the Season going to Neil Hammond for his 30 yard strike against Ipswich Wanderers Reserves, Top Goal Scorer going to Aaron Bowmer for his season tally of 17, Players' Player of the Year going to Fisher and the Manager's Award going to James Robertson. First team manager Peter Betts then had the floor and thanked the whole club for the work they have done over the past year, especially Terry McGerty for his work in the seven years Betts has been at the club, John Linnane, Steve Brown, Bryan Jones, Will Jones and Stuart Wardley. First team awards were then distributed, Young Player of the Year going to Ant Fernandez and Players' and Manager's Player of the Year going to Abbott. Beavis was awarded a tankard for his 20 years of commitment to the club before the evening was completed with Haverhill Echo reporter Steve Barton awarding Stuart Kingham with Echo Player of the season and Esdale and Adams presenting Steve Brown and Terry McGerty each with a trophy from the committee to thank them on the work towards the new ground.
