HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES
4-2
CHELMSFORD CITY LADIES

Haverhill played hosts to Chelmsford City and, after a delayed kick off due to Chelmsford being stuck in traffic, this was one of the best performances from Haverhill this season and shows why they are in the top half of the table.

Louise Anderson opened the scoring in the 10th minute and, for the next 20 minutes, Haverhill were by far the better team, playing some excellent football.

Rachel Mann increased Haverhill's lead after some great build up play in midfield from Stacey Spires and Amy Rawlings.

Chelmsford got one back through some sloppy defending before the break.

Because of the late kick off and the fading light a quick turn around was in Rovers' favour as they carried on where they left off at the break, dominating the midfield and looking solid in defence.

Haverhill got a third goal from a corner kick as City failed to clear and Pavlina Beasley netted.

Lori Holmes made her debut for Rovers, replacing the tired Gemma Eady, and showed the quality of football that Haverhill is producing through the junior teams.

From midfield Aimee Rawlings took the ball from the feet of a Chelmsford player and scored a stunning solo goal to make it 4-1.

From the restart Chelmsford took control of the final 10 minutes, pressing for another goal which came from another badly defended corner.

Final score : 4-2 to Rovers to keep them in with a chance of promotion and keeping Chelmsford behind them.

This was a good game of football by both teams.
