HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES | 4-0 | KIRKLEY |
Rovers entertained lowly Kirkly this week needing to win all their remaining games to stand a chance of promotion.
Although Rovers had most of the possesion in the first half they failed to convert their chances into goals. Time and again, Rachel Mann put the ball into the box only to see no-one put it away or no-one come to meet the ball.
However, in the 44th minute, another Mann cross was met by Anderson to open the scoring.
The second half was much the same as the first with Rovers creating plenty of chances. Haverhill's second goal in the 49th minute came after a corner and some sloppy defending by Kirkley, Mann's cross once again sliding into the net.
Anderson made it 3-0 on 65 minutes and Smith wrapped it up in the 70th minute when the 'keeper failed to hold a shot from substitute Onley's first touch of the game and Smith was there to tap in the rebound.
From here the game went flat with Rovers having all the possession and Robinson in the Haverhill goal merely a spectator.
Squad : Robinson, Klimcke, Spiers, Hammond, Halls, Mann, Lindsell, Anderson, Randall, Smith, Fernard, Onley.
The ladies would like to thank A&G Home Improvements and Haverhill Rovers for their continued support.
