HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES
2-0
SAFFRON WALDEN TOWN LADIES

Haverhill started their first pre season game of the season in sweltering heat against Safron Waldon.

Haverhill begain brightly and created early chances from Sian Randell and new face Shelli Farr, who was on trial having previously played for Cambridge United and Peterborough United.

After 20 mins Randell struck the post, and it was constant pressure for the next 10 minutes after this.

It wasn't long untill Bekki Smith opened the scoring with a well struck shot from the edge of the box which ended up in the top right hand corner of the net.

Haverhill continued to dominate until half time.

It was much of the same in the second half, but the pace of the game slowed due to the heat.

Chances were missed by Randell and Smith until, eventually, Haverhill scored their second after an effort from Sian Randell.

This was the final score Haverhill will no doubt improve on as pre-season continues and key players return

Next week they host Barton Rovers at Hamlet Croft.
