The last time these two teams met Haverhill notched up a convincing 7-0 win but, with new players, the hosts made it more difficult for Rovers in the return match.

Haverhill were always the better team but Seltic's defence did a good job at keeping the visitors at bay.

In the first half Haverhill's Rachel Linsdell hit the crossbar while Sian Randall saw three efforts go wide of the goal before the same player put Haverhill ahead with 25 minutes played.

With Michelle Onley back up front in place of the unavailable, and on form, Anderson made it difficult for the home side but she failed to put away her chances.

The second half saw Rovers continue to pressure the Seltic goal but failing to go further ahead.

Seltic themselves had a few chances to equalise but the Haverhill defence of Hammond, Klimke and Fernard and the brave goalkeeping of Robinson kept Rovers' promotion hopes alive.
