HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES
1-0
KINGS SPORTS

(League Plate match)

Haverhill entertained Kings Sports from Luton in the League Plate. Although Haverhill had the majority of the first half play they again failed to take their chances, Anderson and Randall coming closest in the first period. Kings Sports found it difficult to get out of their own half but did well to stop Rovers.

The second half again saw Rovers with the upper hand and the shots on goal became greater, Rachel Mann causing problems on the right wing and it was from one of her runs that, as last week, Mann scored a cheeky goal that was intended as a cross to the waiting Anderson.

Kings then made a substitution and had a change round and, from this, Kim Atkinson (by far the best Kings player) started running at the Rovers defence trying for the equaliser, but Klimke, Smith and Hmmond were too strong and kept the lead to put Haverhill into the next round.

Squad : Robinson, Smith, Klimke, Hammond, Gregory, Taylor, Mann, Linsdell, Spiers, Beasley, Anderson, Randall, Fernard, Onley.
Player of the Match : Zoe Klimke.
