| HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS (U13s) | 4-2 | BASSINGBOURN YOUTH |
Haverhill Rovers Girls got caught in the first few minutes of this match when Bassingbourn went 1-0 up with a shot that Rachel, playing in the Haverhill goal for the injured Evey, had no chance of stopping.
Straight from the restart Haverhill created chances and it was not long before Haverhill scored when Chloe passed to Stacey, who made it 1-1.
15 minutes later Haverhill took the lead when Katie Schulz ran at goal and slotted the ball home to make it 2-1.
Two minutes before half time Bassingbourn levelled the score at 2-2.
In the second half Haverhill stepped up a gear with some fantastic movement and great defending from Amy, Alisha, Jessica Gower (who was playing her first game for the side and didn't look out of place) and Katy with Rachel getting more confident in goal.
The Haverhill midfield of Shannon, Molly, Charlotte and Holly began passing the ball around and one of the passes found Katie, who made the score 3-2.
Two minutes later Holly made two great tackles to win the ball, passed it to Katie and she burst into the box and blasted the ball in to the back of the net to complete her hat trick and make the final score 4-2.
This was a brilliant performance from the girls.
