| ALCONBURY COLTS | 2-4 | HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS |
Haverhill travelled to Alconbury for this match, the hosts being behind Haverhill in 2nd place in the league.
Haverhill started the better of the two sides with shots raining in on the Alconbury 'keeper, who prodcued some fine saves, but Haverhill took the lead after 13 minutes when a good run down the wing by Katie Schulz ended with a cross to Stacy Roper, who tapped in from a foot out.
This seemed to spark Alconbury into the game with Alisha Jenkins, Rachel Jeffs and Jessica Fox in defence trying to break down the attack; eventually Alconbury pulled a goal back and, five minutes later, took a 2-1 lead.
This then sparked Haverhill back into the game, Charlotte Westrope and Chloe Eliis winning vital tackles in midfield before they drew level with Katie scoring to make the halfd time score 2-2.
In the second half Haverhill were much the better side and quickly took the lead with Katie scoring again.
As the game went on the Haverhill players were picking up injuries and Amy Hull kept coming on and off for them and didn't not let the side down, with the few attacks that Alconbury had saw Evey Richardson (in goal) commanding her goal area.
With five minutes to go Haverhill made sure they took all 3 points when Stacy, with a quick turn, placed the ball off the post and into the net to make the final score 4-2.
Haverhill Rovers Girls would like to thank Form Mould and Toolmakers for sponsoring them.
