HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS (U15s)
6-0
CHATTERIS TOWN YOUTH GIRLS

On a cold morning Haverhill played their first ever game against Chatteris.

Haverhill attacked from the start with Charlotte Westrope having a couple of shots that just went over the bar.

Minutes later Stacey Roper scored, starting at the back when goalkeeper Rachel Jeffs kicked the ball down the field, which caught out the Chatteris defence, and Stacey went one-on-one with the 'keeper and calmly put the ball away.

Charlotte then made it 2-0 with a chip over the goalkeeper.

Chatteris tried to break down the defence of Jessica Clay, Alisha Jenkins and Sarah Lister but found them all in good form.

Haverhill got their third when Rebecca Ross put a through ball to Katie Schulz, who ran on and smashed the ball into the net to make it 3-0 at half time.

In the second half Katie scored again when she just squeezed the ball under the 'keeper and it trickled in.

The next goal Haverhill scored was a good individual goal from Alisha, who won the ball in her own half and ran the length of the pitch, beating four players and easily shooting the ball into the back of the net.

Charlotte got her second goal by beating a defender and coolly stroking it past the goalkeeper.

Final score 6-0 and the girls all performed brilliantly today.
