HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS (U12s)
3-0
CAMBOURNE ROVERS JUNIORS

In this game Haverhill Rovers Girls played host to Cambourne, who have had some impressive result in their last couple of games.

The first 10 minutes were a very tight affair with Haverhill just on top with more shots at the Cambourne goal. With Stacey Roper running on her own up front she tried her best to make a break through with support from Charlotte Westrope, Emily Pollecutt and Alisha Jenkins, but Haverhill were sometimes caught on the break; lucky for them that defenders Jessica Fox and Rachel Jeffs were on top form, breaking up Cambourne attacks.

Haverhill tried to change things around and brought on two "roll on and roll off" subs in Amy Hull and Leah Goreham. Amy went up front with Stacey and it wasn't long before Haverhill scored, Stacey winning the ball and going past two defenders before taking a shot which came off the 'keeper and Amy kicked in the rebound into the net to make it 1-0 to Haverhill at half time.

The second half was a lot better for Haverhill with Charlotte winning everything in midfield and Emily and Alisha taking up good positions for scoring chances with Stacey chasing everything.

At last, Stacey got the goal she deserved when she took on two defenders and placed the ball past the 'keeper to make it 2-0.

Five minutes later the game was sealed when Charlotte went on one of her runs and squared the ball to Stacey, who made it 3-0.

Evey Richardson (in goal) only had one save to make for Haverhill but, as usual, was sound in goal.

With this 3-0 win it brought up 100 goals for the season so far for Haverhill.

Manager Steve Hull said that all the girls were brilliant and that you couldn't of ask much more from them. As a result of this win, and other results going their way, Haverhill won the league and congratulated his team.

Haverhill Rovers Girls would like to thank Form Mould and Toolmakers for sponsoring them.
