HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS (U15s)
|
6-0
| BOTTISHAM |
After 5 weeks without a game the Haverhill
girls were up for this one.
From kick off it was all out attack with Katie Schulz running down the wing
and putting in a cross for Charlotte Westrope to tap in, only to find the assistant's
flag up for offside, but 2 minutes later Katie went on a run and hit a fierce
cross towards the 'keeper, who only managed to hit the ball in the net and make
it 1-0.
Minutes later Haverhill went 2-0 up when Katie had another powerful shot which
the 'keeper saved and Charlotte was there for a simple tap in.
Stacey Roper then scored number 3 with an individual run before neatly putting
the ball in to the net.
The next goal came from a corner; there was a goal mouth scamble and Sarah Lister
put the ball into the net.
Bottisham did try to attack the Haverhill goal but found Alisha Jenkins, Stacey
Barham and Danielle Flowers just too much to contend with to make 4-0 the half
time score.
In the second half Bottisham came into the game a bit more but found Rachel
Jeffs unbeatable with a couple of good saves and one brave save on the line.
Haverhill continued to attack the Bottisham goal with Kama Jenkins having a
couple of chances to increase the score.
After 15 minutes of the second half Haverhill were awarded a penalty and Stacey
slotted the ball in to the corner of the net to make it 5-0.
Haverhill were then awarded another penalty and Stacey graciously came off the
pitch to let Kama try and score on her birthday; unfortunately she hit the ball
well but straight at the #keeper.
Haverhill got their sixth when Molly Mcfall passed the ball to Rebecca Ross,
who passed it to Charlotte and she stormed into the penalty area and blasted
the ball past the 'keeper.
