HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS | 10-0 | BOTTISHAM |
In their last league game of the season Haverhill Rovers Girls played host to Bottisham with Haverhill playing all of their squad playersin this game.
Haverhill did not take long to take control of the game as Stacey Roper, Chloe Ellis and Katie Schulz all had early chances.
Stacey scored first, direct from a corner; 3 minutes later Stacey added another to make it 2-0.
The third goal came from Chloe, with Katie and Stacey involved to create her goal.
After 15 minutes Haverhill used some "roll, on roll off" subs with Amy Hull, Leah Goreham and Holly Benjamin (making her debut) coming on and, within a minute, Amy, Leah and Holly all combined to set up Stacey to get her third goal and make it 4-0 at half time.
In the second half Haverhill changed 'keepers again, bringing Evey Richardson out of goal, as she was never in the action in the first half, and swapping her with Rachel Jeffs, who played in defence in the first half.
Straight from the kick off Chloe and Stacey did a one-two and Chloe scored to make it 5-0.
As Bottisham restarted again, a good tackle from Alisha Jenkins set Katie on her way, Katie passing the ball to Stacey for her to score again to make it 6-0.
Haverhill were now in total control, Charlotte Westrope yet again dominating the midfield before she sent a through ball to Chloe, who made it 7-0.
Stacey went on to score another 3 goals to bring her total to 6 and make the final score 10-0.
Haverhill manager Steve Hull commented "This result meant 16 games played, 16 wins with 130 goals scored and 10 goals conceded. We have the top 3 girls in the top league scorers list with Stacey (53 goals), Chloe (30 goals) and Katie (29 goals)."
"This season the girls have been just fantastic; with their work rate and passing throughout the season and team work, they play as a team and work hard for each other."
"I would like to thank all the parents this season for their support and the way they support the other girls in the team. It's like one big happy family on a Saturday and that's what make girls football easy to run."
Haverhill Rovers Girls would like to thank Form Mould and Toolmakers for sponsoring them.
