HAVERHILL ROVERS GIRLS (U15s)

Haverhill at last had a game after 3 weeks without one away to Bottisham.

With only 9 players available they started off well with Stacey Roper & Katie Schulz causing all sorts of trouble against the Bottisham defence.

Stacey opened the scoring when, with 3 players on her, she wriggled through and smartly put the ball away to make it 1-0.0-1,

Her second goal came from a long kick from 'keeper Rachel Jeffs which bounced over the Bottisham defence and she ran on to score and make it 2-0.

Haverhill were then awarded a corner; Stacey sent the ball over and Kama Jenkins chested the ball down for Katie to smash the ball home and make it 3-0.

Goal number 4 came after quick thinking from Stacey as Haverhill were awarded a free kick and, with the Bottisham 'keeper standing on her penalty spot, she chipped the ball over her into an empty net.

A good through ball from Jessica Clay sent Stacey away to score goal number 5, and 4 for Stacey, to make the half time score 5-0.

In the second half Bottisham did test the Haverhill defence but Alisha, Sarah and Jessica were in no mood to concede.

Goal number 6 came when Rebecca made a good tackle and laid the ball on to Katie, who ran down the line, cut inside and blasted the ball home.

Minutes later Katie picked the ball up from inside her own area and ran through the Bottisham defence before coolly slotting the ball away to make it 7-0., 0-7,then

Charlotte Westrope then got on the score sheet with a lob from outside of the area to make it 8-0.

Bottisham did have a chance to score when they were given a penalty but they hit the bar.
