HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES
2-0
AFC SUDBURY RESERVES

Haverhill booked their place in the semi final of this competition for the second year running since the league began, goals in each half by Chris Claydon and Joe Harvey setting them on their way.

Home goalkeeper Jamie Smith made a good save to his right early in the opening ten minutes at the start of a succession of Sudbury corners.

Scott Hunt's 25 yard curling drive was pushed behind by Sudbury 'keeper Barry Simpson that should have sent warning bells to the travellers, who found themselves a goal down in the 33rd minute following a looping cross from the right by Harvey, Claydon flicking his header into the bottom left corner and giving Simpson no chance of a save.

The second half saw Sudbury's cause dealt a big blow 10 minutes in, Daniel Cunningham receiving a red card and his marching orders for violent conduct.

The score stayed at 1-0 to the home side, their defence holding strong against any attacks, before a minute into added time at the end of the game when substitute Harry Halls did well to pounce on the ball in the penalty area, his square ball coming off the heel of a defender and Harvey rifling the ball into the net to ensure that his team finished as winners.
