| IPSWICH TOWN LADIES | 5-0 | HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES |
(F.A. Cup First Round)
A dominant Ipswich performance saw them defeat Haverhill on a sorry day for their Suffolk opponents as they lost their unbeaten record for this season.
With the travellers freezing at the start of the match they conceded a sloppy goal after a quarter of an hour that was the first of the Ipswich captain's hat trick.
They conceded a second with a bad stroke of luck as the ball come back off the bar and the back of the Haverhill goalkeeper's head.
Although Louise Anderson was outstanding for the away side they conceded a third goal before the break via a good finish from 12 yards out.
Haverhill were better in the second half but they saw two more goals against them in the last ten minutes of the game.
Manager Peter Betts stated he was happy with the team's progress in the cup and was looking forward to their game at league leaders Cambridge City on Sunday 5th November 2006.
Betts also thanked the supporters and everyone else from Haverhill who travelled to the match.
