MILDENHALL TOWN
1-5
HAVERHILL ROVERS

A hat trick from Richard Heller helped Haverhill on to a resounding victory as they progressed to the third round of the Ridgeons League Cup.

Marc Abbott netted the first for the visitors after 34 minutes, Nick Impey getting into space after a flick on by Adam Ben-Saud, his shot being blocked and Abbott scoring past wrong footed goalkeeper Ben Nower.

Heller's first came 4 minutes later, a volley by Mildenhall's Craig Hammond being saved at the other end by 'keeper Arron Benstead and his long kick being flicked on by Impey for Heller to put wide of Nower.

Mildenhall pulled a goal back to make it 2-1 a minute into first half stoppage time, Hammond this time beating Benstead with a header across him after a cross by Lewis Blois.

Heller scored his second 4 minutes after the break following his positive run from just inside the Mildenhall half, his shot taking a deflection off defender Graham Rush's outstretched leg and looping over the helpless Nower.

His hat trick was sealed, giving his side a 4-1 lead, after 73 minutes after Impey flicked on a long clearance from Marcus Hunt, Heller outpacing Paul Miles and putting the ball wide of the goalkeeper.

Wayne Goddard netted Haverhill's fifth goal five minutes into added time when he curled his 25 yard free kick into the top right corner.
