MILDENHALL TOWN | 2-0 | HAVERHILL ROVERS |
Two pieces of misfortune for Haverhill, one a deflection and the second a lapse in concentration in defence, led to Mildenhall (and Tom Youngs) netting twice and picking up all three points from this match.
Youngs' first came after half an hour after an initial effort by Stephen Spriggs was blocked, Spriggs' rebound deflecting across goal to leave Youngs with an easy tap in at the far post.
The second came in the 58th minute when Owen Paynter cut the ball back from the right bye line, Haverhill's Marcus Hunt only being able to deflect it into the path of Youngs who once again had an easy tap in to beat goalkeeper Ed Campbell.
Haverhill did have chances, the best of which came from a Jamie Challis corner on the hour mark, Luke Hughes' close range volley being cleared off the line at the post by James Paterson.
