Kirkley's fifth win in a row condemned Haverhill to their third loss in a row and the severely increased probability of finishing in the bottom two of the division.
Kirkley took the lead with 77 seconds on the watch, Liam Harvey Cooper latching on to a ball over the top to seemingly break the home offside trap and put the ball into the far bottom right hand corner.
Shaun Banham had a goal disallowed for offside for the home side before the break, Kirkley doubling their lead 20 minutes after the interval when captain Justin Fox put in a free kick from just outside the left corner of the area and Jordan Blythe flicked the ball off his head and in at the near post.
Away goalkeeper Robert Woodcock did well to push Martin Westcott's volley away from goal before he beat his counterpart, Ed Campbell, from the penalty spot in the 77th minute after Campbell had brought down Chris Henderson in what was seen as just inside the area.
