Russell Bull celebrates scoring Haverhill's second goal on his debut

Haverhill got back to form as this result ended their four match losing streak as well as Kirkley's seven match unbeaten run in the league.

They opened the scoring after 6 minutes, the returning Lee Wilson putting in a customary cross from the left and Wayne Goddard heading the ball past goalkeeper Nathan Pauling.

They doubled their lead after half an hour via another Wilson cross, this time from just left of the penalty area, the debuting Russell Bull placing his ball into the bottom right corner off his head.

Kirkley pulled a goal back 9 minutes after the break, some close control in the area by Bodie Carter setting up Chris Henderson to his left, whose first time effort went past goalkeeper Arron Benstead and in off the far right upright.

The win was sealed in the 71st minute, however, Jamie Thurlbourne's square ball coming off the heels of Nick Impey, just past a Kirkley defender, and substitute Adam Ben-Saud put his effort into the bottom left corner off Pauling's fingertips.
