WITHAM TOWN RESERVES
1-2
HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES

Haverhill have it in their own hands to win the divisional championship after this win meant that Tiptree, with 2 games in hand, need to secure wins in both those games and against Haverhill to stop them from taking the title.

A fast paced end-to-end first half ended goal less, the best chances to the host coming with a 25 yard volley going over the bar and Harry Halls' close range off target flick from Cody Frazier's low ball in being the closest either side came.

Within 10 minutes of the restart Haverhill were 2-0 up thanks to two goals from Paul Hunt, his first coming on 47 minutes after he drove 30 yards down the left wing, cut inside and then placed the ball under goalkeeper James Moore and into the net; his second arrived 6 minutes later when he found himself free and with the goal at his mercy thanks to a right wing cross from Halls.

A mistake in the away defence in the 79th minute set up a tense finish, Tyrone White's diverted effort falling into the path of substitute James Duckworth near the goal line, but the travellers held out for a key win.
