WISBECH TOWN
0-0
HAVERHILL ROVERS

These two teams shared the spoils after a dire 90 minutes that saw neither side fully trouble the other's goal.

Decent chances were also few and far between for both teams, the best of the first half chances being Jason Pease's 30 yard drive for the hosts which just went over the Haverhill bar.

The second half livened up but still failed to produce a goal for either side, Scott Cubberly's powerful volley for Wisbech being blocked by away goalkeeper Ed Campbell, Martin Westcott seeing his effort producing a good save from 'keeper Alex Street after he was played in and Andy Hughes trying to catch out Street with a quickly taken free kick from 45 yards out that hit the cross bar and went behind.

In all this was a game that wasn't pretty for the neutral and helped neither team in their battle against relegation.

HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES
6-1
HARWICH & PARKESTON RES.

Haverhill put in a five star second half performance to thrash visitors Harwich 6-1 in this game.

In a bizarre turn of events both teams had an outfield player in goal with Dan Edwards donning the gloves for Haverhill, and he certainly coped far better than Jake Neale in the opposition goal.

Rovers looked the stronger of the two teams and Ross Elkins opened the scoring after five minutes following good work by Luke Stockings.

Stockings himself should have doubled the lead on the quarter hour mark when put through but he shot tamely at Neale's legs.

Haverhill failed to add to their tally before half time and, with seconds left to the break, Martin Warnes tapped in a scrappy goal from a corner to leave the sides level at 1-1.

Haverhill began to turn on the style early in the second half when Elkins completed a fine team move to make the score 2-1 and, with James Robertson dominating in midfield, and Neil Green orchestrating attacks from the right wing, they never looked back.

Green crossed for Stockings in the 59th minute and Stuart Lillie forced home the loose ball to make it 3-1 before Lillie returned the favour to Stockings 14 minutes later for the fourth goal.

A Green corner was powerfully volleyed home by Robertson for the fifth in the 75th minute and, three minutes later, Cody Frazier completed the scoring, and Neale's forgettable afternoon, direct from a corner.
