A hard fought, well earned and much needed win came Haverhill's way as they secured their first victory for nine weeks.

They took the lead right before the half time whistle 3 minutes into added time, Neil Cogger getting the bye line, away goalkeeper Ben Nower not getting enough on to his cut back and Martin Westcott hooking the shot into the net from behind him.

An increasingly tense finish to the match almost took a turn in Felixstowe's direction in the 83rd minute after Cogger was given his marching orders for violent conduct.

This geed Haverhill up for a second goal instead as, five minutes later, Jamie Challis laid the ball down the left wing for Westcott to run up it, turn inside a defender and put his shot past the advanced Nower.

With plenty of second half injury time the travellers got a goal back eight minutes into it when Andrew Claydon got the slightest of touches onto a drilled shot from the edge of the area to divert it just into the post, but it was too late to find the second goal they had searched for.
