NEWMARKET TOWN
0-1
HAVERHILL ROVERS

Haverhill gained revenge for their Suffolk Premier Cup exit at Newmarket earlier in the season thanks to second half penalty.

Away goalkeeper Arron Benstead kept out Ben Mhishi and Steven Bell in the first half, counterpart Matthew Paynter stopping Wayne Goddard and Nick Impey at the other end.

The eventually winning goal came two minutes after the break, Tom Gallagher hauling down Adam Ben-Saud in the area and travelling captain Marcus Hunt netting from the spot kick.

Newmarket's best hopes of an equaliser came from efforts by Alex Watson, but he was unable to find the target and salvage a point for his side.
