Soham won their third league game in a row with this result, Haverhill going down to their third consecutive home league defeat.
The away side's early pressure saw them take the lead after six minutes via a 20 yard volley from Scott Carter that found the top corner.
The hosts equalised following a push in the back on Adam Salmons in the area by Martin McNeil, Marcus Hunt scoring the spot kick in the 25th minute.
Soham regained their one goal lead seven minutes later, Charles Libam outpacing the home defence and scoring from the rebound after goalkeeper Arron Benstead had saved his initial effort.
The goal that sealed the victory came after 81 minutes, a low cross by Libam finding Carter at the back post and his mis-hit shot went under Benstead and into the net.
