LOWESTOFT TOWN RESERVES
2-1
HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES

Haverhill's trip to Diss didn't end with them coming back with the Reserve Teams League Championship after a Lowestoft side that went unbeaten in the league all season went home with the trophy thanks to a 90th minute winner from substitute Craig Lewis.

Lowestoft took the lead in the 36th minute after a host of chances, Andy Hughes being caught in position on the right by Lowestoft captain Carl Burgess, who put the cross in for Daniel Mitchell to flick the ball off his head and into the bottom left corner, goalkeeper Dan Edwards scrambling across goal but being unable to keep the ball out of his net.

The equaliser came Haverhill's way after 63 minutes following a great ball round the back of the defence by captain Ben Cowling, Shaun Banham touching the ball wide of 'keeper Adam Rix to draw his side level.

Unfortunately Cowling was sent off for his second cautionable offence in the 85th minute, reducing Haverhill to ten men, and Lewis took advantage of his side's numbers and netted his winning goal with a controlled 15 yard volley that left Edwards with no chance of a save.
