| HAVERHILL ROVERS LADIES | 2-1 | BEDFORD TOWN LADIES |
(F.A. Cup Second Qualifying Round)
A tie at Ipswich Town on 29th October 2006 in the First Round beckons for Haverhill after they held on to beat Bedford thanks to goals from Shelley Farr and Amanda Everett.
A scrappy affair saw half chances from Louise Anderson and Katie Shorter saved by the Bedford goalkeeper, Stacey Spiers clearing an effort off the Haverhill goal line before the hosts took the lead after half an hour through a 25 yard free kick by Farr that found the top corner.
After the half time break Rachael Mann had efforts saved, home goalkeeper Hannah Robinson making a good save until, with 20 minutes to go, a short back pass caused disarray in the Bedford defence and Everett took advantage to lob the goalkeeper from 20 yards out and double Haverhill's lead.
Bedford managed to bundle in a free kick with ten minutes to go but the home side held out for the win and entry into the First Round of the F.A. Cup for the first time in their history.
