HAVERHILL ROVERS
0-1
NEWMARKET TOWN

Newmarket extended their league run to one loss in their last six matches to leave Haverhill with one win over the same period of time and in the same competition.

The only goal came in the 33rd minute when a hopeful shot on the turn from the edge of the area by Steven Bell went high in the air and goalkeeper Jamie Smith could only tip the ball on to the underside of the crossbar and in.

With both teams effectively cancelling each other out in this match Haverhill's only decent chance came early in the second half, a volley by Sam Green being turned around the near post by Matthew Paynter.
