HISTON RESERVES
1-3
HAVERHILL ROVERS

Haverhill made it six games unbeaten thanks to three goals in the opening 45 minutes of this match.

The first came via an own goal after five minutes, Marc Abbott heading the ball forward into the penalty area, defender Mat Mitchel-King heading the ball upwards and behind him; goalkeeper Matt Cowell then came out to punch the ball but it hit the back of his knuckles and went into his own net.

Nick Impey doubled the away side's lead fourteen minutes later after a good ball was touched forward by Sam Green, Impey letting the ball bounce before volleying it into near top left corner of the net from 15 yards out.

A push by home defender Lee Upcott into the back of Adam Ben-Saud in the penalty area provided Haverhill with the opportunity to net their third goal in the 36th minute, Marcus Hunt stepping up to score from the spot kick in typical fashion.

What proved to be a consolation goal for Histon came eight minutes after the half time break, a corner by Rob Nightingale flicked on by Roscoe Hipperson for the unmarked Jamie Barker to net.
