HARWICH & PARKESTON
0-1
HAVERHILL ROVERS

Haverhill got back to winning ways at their Essex opponents, a calamitous goal in the 90th minute sealing all three points.

There were several chances in the opening half for either team to score, the best for the hosts coming when captain Lee Matson fired just over with a 20 yard volley and a 30 yard drive, Adam Ben-Saud's thunderous header for Haverhill from a Jamie Thurlbourne corner going just wide of the foot of the upright.

Harwich hit the woodwork in the closing stages, Scott Page's flick header from a Liam Morley free kick going behind off the bar, substitute Martin Westcott netting the winner after some good work by Nick Impey to cut the ball back from the bye line; fellow substitute Sam Green connected with a first time cross and, with a low bounce and some poor defending at the near right upright, Westcott stooped almost on his knees to head the ball under goalkeeper Ed Wootten and into the bottom right corner.
