HAVERHILL ROVERS
2-1
GODMANCHESTER ROVERS

Haverhill just managed to keep their consecutive win streak with this result, two late goals extending it to ten matches.

Godmanchester were the team that took the lead just three minutes into the second half, Chris Salter unleashing a 40 yard drive that crashed in off the underside of the bar.

The hosts equalised on 71 minutes when a free kick by Marc Abbott was headed away, Martin Westcott laying the ball forward to Colin Vowden and the latter curling the ball into the bottom left corner of the net.

The winner came in the 85th minute, Ben Cowling putting a ball round the back of the defence to release Westcott, goalkeeper Mathew Renshaw coming out of goal and unfortunately suffering a suspected broken arm as he tried to stop him rolling the ball past him from 20 yards, just ahead of the last defender and into the net.
