HARWICH & PARKESTON RESERVES
2-4
HAVERHILL ROVERS RESERVES

Haverhill notched up their fourth win in a row, and their second over Harwich in two weeks, to further their push to make the league play off this season.

They took the lead after 16 minutes following a cross from the right by Harry Halls, Danny Johnston getting his head to the ball to put it in off the goalkeeper and a defender.

The lead only lasted 5 minutes, though, Harwich breaking the offside trap to put the sides level at the break.

A flurry of pressure saw the away side regain their lead in the 64th minute, a cross from the left by Lee Hurkett parried by the goalkeeper, but only into the path of Chris Claydon, who beat him at his near left post with a nicely hit volley through a crowd of players.

They found themselves two goals in front five minutes later, a flick over the top by Claydon latched on to by Halls, who volley chipped the goalkeeper from just inside the area with Harwich down to ten men following an injury after using all three substitutes.

Three points were made sure of in the 75th minute, Neil Hammond's free header from a free kick on the right by Claydon finding the net.

A momentary lapse in concentration saw a Harwich effort take a slight deflection off Hammond to beat stand in goalkeeper Scott Lowen in the 86th minute as small consolation for the home side.
